Bordeaux-Begles winger Damian Penaud broke the record for tries in one Champions Cup season on Saturday with his 12th effort of the campaign in the quarter-final with Munster.
France's Penaud dived over after just five minutes at a sold-out Stade Chaban Delmas to beat ex-England winger Chris Ashton's best of 11 in 2013-2014, playing for Saracens.
Penaud, 28, crossed six times in one game during the pool stages and claimed a hat-trick in another fixture.
At Test level, Penaud shares the France record with Serge Blanco on 38 touchdowns, with his tally for club and country this term up to 21 in 19 appearances.
The winner of the last-eight tie in France will face Toulon or holders Toulouse, who meet on Sunday.
Four-time champions Leinster will face either Northampton or Castres in the other semi-final, played on the weekend of May 2-4, after hammering Glasgow 52-0 on Friday.
